Red Shoes - Sexy Secret

Sexy, glamor, sultry, confident, sophisticate. These are some of the words used to describe red. This why some of the most powerful women have at least one red item in their fashion diary. From ruby red slippers and burgundy pumps, there will surely be a way to incorporate some fiery color into your style.

Red + White

Red and white go extremely well together, as proven by Snow White with blood red lips against her skin as white as snow. Whether it's a crisp white shirt with black cigarette pants or a simple white tee and jeans ala Marilyn Monroe, a red pair of pumps or high heeled boots will definitely jazz up the look. To elevate your outfit further, add a blazer or cardigan to give your look a little more texture.

A simple white dress will leave you looking feminine... and a tad bit boring. Grab some good attention with a red ballet flats for a casual outing with the family or a chunky cherry pump for a first date. Add on a cropped jacket on a chilly day.

Little Black Dress

There's no harm in keeping a look classic with a black on black ensemble but a pop of color never really hurt anyone. A patent scarlet pump will put a modern touch to an otherwise classic dress. To showcase your dress, keep your red shoes and accessories simple. A diamond stud earring and silver watch will be more than enough.

Animal Prints

Don't worry about being trashy with this combo. The key word here is "moderation". I find that a simple, patent red flats and kitten heel work best with animal prints. For an office look, wear your power suit over an animal print blouse or scarf and finish it off with a hint of red with your shoes. For something casual or after hours, pair a zebra print dress with a red kitten heel. Just make sure that your hemline is modest enough to not be confused with "working" girls.

Navy Ahoy

There's something about nautical inspired fashion that just screams chic! From white shorts and nautical striped bikini top combo to a nautical-striped maxi dress, the best feature of this look is that you have a wider opportunity to mix and match. Give a pop of color to this monochromatic look with red! Cherry red to be precise. Red is the best color for this look because it breaks the nautical color scheme in a good way. A straw hat and a white bag will polish off this beach look.

Of course, you don't actually need sailor-inspired outfits to make red and navy work together. The same shade of shoes will also go perfectly well with a denim dress. You could also pair a great pair of apple red pumps with a navy suit to break the stiffness of the color to make it look more relaxed.

Cherry Bomb

Believe it or not, you can wear red from head to toe and still look chic. There are three key things to remember in order to pull off this look. ONE: mix and match different shades of red. TWO: different fabrics and textures will create more dimension to your look. THREE: add a neutral piece to tie everything together. For example, wear your buttoned-down white shirt with a burgundy leather skirt and wear a red cotton blazer over your shirt. Keep accessories simple like a gold stud or watch. Polish your look off with a simple red patent ballet flats or platform pumps.
